TomTom ONE XL
Mar 5, 2007 gps navigation, tomtom

TomTom ONE XL made its appeareance on FCC’s site last week. Not a lot is known but the new TomTom ONE XL will have bluetooth support, a possibly 4.3″ wide touch screen, use SD slot for maps and expansion, and use TomTom’s latest Navigator 6 software.
With the new TomTom ONE XL you’ll have two options to get traffic info. Either TomTom Traffic, or Traffic Message Channel (TMC). If you want to use TomTom Traffic -which is TomTom Plus service- you’ll need a mobile phone with bluetooth. For TMC you’ll have to buy and install the RDS-TMC traffic receiver.
We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything new.

I can’t wait to try out the TomTom XL! Only for few more weeks until it is released. A GPS unit that is portable and has a nice wide screen seems like a winning combination.
