Published on February 9th, 2007 in fitness, gps navigation, on bikes, software, tracking
MTBGuru is a google maps mashup for the outdoors enthusiast who would like to log their trips and share them with the rest of the world. You can choose to view or all of the trips for mountain bike rides, hikes, road bike rides, trail runs, or more. If you are new in a area this would be the best way to find new places to ride your bike, hike, etc.
What you are going to have to do is upload your GPS data; and then you’ll have the option to upload and share photos taken during the trip, which are referenced to the location at which they were taken and displayed on the map.
The smart web application can also let you access your data through RSS feeds and even convert your GPS datafiles so you can view them in Google Earth.
