IS-888 Portable GPS Navigation
Feb 3, 2007 gps navigation

IS-888 is a portable GPS navigation offered by a Chinese manufacturing company called Juxin International. It is a pretty standard GPS navigator with a 3.5″ TFT touch screen, support for MP3 and MP4 formats, voice guidance and SD card slot for expansion. Inside you’ll find a Samsung CPU and 400MHz, 64MB of RAM and 64MB of ROM. If you must have a SiRF Star III looks elsewhere because IS-888 uses NMEX GPS receiver chipset.
Some of the other features:
- U-BLOX built-in long-life rechargeable battery built-in.
- Instant route calculation. Multimethods to search address or point of interest
- Automatic calculation on driving distance and time.
- LED backlight
- 3D/2D navigation map
- Built-in rechargeable Li-ion 1,350 mAh battery
- Weight: 170g
We are not sure if this will ever make it out of China.

Probably not. It will get its head sued off by TomTom. This look exactly like the old TomTom 300 and 500!
