Map-Star is another name trying to get some market share from the big boys. This new GPS navigation device will us Samsung’s 400MHz S3C2440 processor and run Windows CE 4.2 in the background. The navigation software is supplied by Odyssey which gets its data from a SiRFStar III GPS receiver chipset. The display measures 4.3 inches, and the software can provide voice guidance in English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Korean. It comes with pre-loaded maps of U.S. and Canada including over 1.5 million POIs. It also has support for various multimedia files which can be loaded via the SD card slot. It will cost you half a grand when it comes out later this month. via
