Holux GM-120

Back in October 06 we announced Holux’s new GM-120. Holux did come to CES this year and brought the GM-120 with them – which means it is likely to hit the U.S really soon.
We spent a few minutes with the device and it did function well during that small amount of time. The only bad point is that the screen is gray scale which feels a bit 80’s. Also the size may be an issue if you are not planning on carrying a backpack (it measures 109 x 59 x 22.8 mm).
Other than that the software is really designed with sporting activities in mind such as golfing, hiking, skiiing, camping, and of course geocaching. GM-120 will come in two different models: GM-120A and GM-120B. GM-120B will have sensors for altitude, barometric pressure, and will have an electronic compass.
No word on pricing just yet. We’ll keep you posted.
