LN790 is the top of the line portable navigation device that LG will be introducing in the U.S. soon. It is on display at CES 2007 here however no price has been determined yet for this model.

We do have a list of the features though:

  • 4.3″ wide TFT LCD
  • text-to-speech
  • bluetooth hands free / audio streaming
  • supports FM TMC
  • millions of POI
  • upto 4 hrs battery life
  • built-in 2GB flash memory & SD card slot
  • video, MP3 playback / picture viewer
  • steering wheel remote

It sounds like it’ll have the capacity to compete with Garmin nuvi 660. It’ll probably be a whole lot cheaper too (plus a steering wheel remote!)

LG LN790 is expected to be available in August of 2007.

    With LG LN 790
If you are on a cruise ship, between Honolulu and Vancouver ,would you be able to read the coordinates of your present position as the Garmin UVI does?
Can you program through your computer the different Favourites’ points, like you can do on the Tom-Tom models?
Can you update when necessary through you computer.
I wish one could have more details as far as the usage is concerned when you go in Future shop or best buy.
Nobody seems to be able to use the system.
