garmin zumo 450
Jan 4, 2007 garmin, gps navigation, on bikes
After their release of zumo 550 back in July, Garmin just introduced a slightly less expensive model ($800 vs $1076) – the garmin zumo 450. The new model has the exact form factor as the 550 however it lacks supports for optional XM NavTraffic with XM weather, and XM Satellite Radio, text-to-speech feature, and bluetooth support.
The new zumo 450 has a 3.5″ sunlight readable, UV resistant, touch screen display and is preloaded with maps of North America as well as Europe. You can also upload custom POI’s to get warnings about speed zones and safety cameras. Just like the 550, 450 also has a built-in MP3 player and JPEG viewer.
It measures 4.8″ x 3.9″ x 1.6″, weighs 10.6 ounces and supports optional FM TMC traffic alerts. Garmin zumo 450 is IPX7 waterproof meaning it is submersible in one meter of water for up to 30 min.
Garmin Zumo 450 will be available in March of 2007.
