If you think the usual 3.5″ screen’s too small for you and the you don’t want a 7″ in-dash system, then you should consider Atlantis X-5600 which has a 5.6″ TFT LCD touch screen. Atlantis X-5600 uses memory cards for storage and maps and comes with a 1GB SD card with US maps pre-loaded. (however they still throw in a DVD with entire US and Puerto Rico maps). Other features include 2-video inputs for backup camera, DVD player or video games, detailed voice instructions in 18 different languages, automatic rerouting in less than 3 seconds, day and night mode for map viewing, and finally an MP3 player.
Thanks to a big 5.6″ screen, the device is not quite pocket sized (6.8″ x 3.6″ x 1.4″) but it’ll easily fit in your girlfriend’s purse. You can pick up the Atlantis X-5600 from Amazon for $500.
