TomTom QuickGPSfix for faster TTFF

tomtom-go-943.jpgTomTom just recently introduced a new free service that will work on the TomTom GO 910, 710, and 510. It is basically a piece of software that you can install using your PC with the TomTom software. The software predicts the orbits of the satellites for up to seven days and distributes these predictions to your TomTom GO using TomTom HOME when you connect your navigator to your PC. Even if the TomTom GO is switched off for more than a day, it can obtain a fix within a few seconds.

I just purchased TOM TOM 350 and need to know what mobile phone is compatible with it i.e. to use the wireless data packet for tomtom services etc.

That’s great, but why can’t we have those predictions for more than 7 days?
Is it to be sure that users will connect their GPS and hence upload the data needed for IQ Routes?
