Rand McNally GPS Navigator review
Nov 4, 2006 gps navigation, reviews
Rand McNally entered the GPS navigation market a couple of months ago with their Rand McNally GPS navigator. It got its first review this weekend from CNet and got a 7 out of 10 which is translates as “very good”. One of the good points about this system is the fact that it comes with preprogrammed trips from the experienced staff of Rand McNally. It also features an MP3 player and has an SD slot for expansion.
Like most other GPS reviews out there today the minus points again came from the software side, not the hardware. This time the editors thought the 3D map screen and interface was a bit confusing and the POI database was also slightly outdated.
The bottom line was “a nice portable navigation system for those who love road tripping, but its maps and interface could use refinement”. So it doesn’t say much…
