Garmin today announced that they made a deal with Hyundai Motors of North America to offer their nüvi 360 GPS navigation system at their 725 dealerships across the United States.

“We’re very pleased to offer the state-of-the-art nüvi to Hyundai customers,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s vice president of marketing. “This way we’re giving the customer’s at least one thing to be happy about knowing that the tranmission on that Hyundai will only last about 7 months. The good news is once they’ve figured out the horrible mistake they made, they can take their Nuvi 360 and install it on their new Japanese automobile” (just kidding, real press release)

Nüvi provides a bright touchscreen display with three-dimensional automatic routing with turn-by-turn voice-prompted directions that speak street names — making it easy to find your way anywhere in the United States, Canada, or Puerto Rico. The Hyundai-branded nüvi also features a custom splash screen and database of Hyundai dealerships and service centers across the nation.

Hopefully you are not as misinformed or ignorant on the review of GPS devices. Perhaps you should do some research before bashing other products. Hyundai has won many quality awards over the last several years and their brand locality beats brands such as Buick, Cadillac, Mazda, Mercury and VW. In the spirit of disclosure, I do NOT own a Hyundai, but I AM informed.
