F-Tech reveals brand new NAV550
Published on October 13th, 2006 in gps navigation
F-Tech from Taiwan, after marketing a series of bluetooth GPS receivers just released a navigation system of their own. The new curvy looking device is called NAV550 and features a state of the art SiRF Star III GPS receiver capable of operating indoors and tracking signals down to -159dBm. High capacity rechargeable lithium-ion battery at 1100mAH should last you for many hours and the stereo speakers can give you voice guidance. The one-power-button design with Screen-off function is listed as a feature on their website but we’re not sure why. The rest of specs is pretty much the same as any other 3.5″ navigation device. One thing worth mentioning is the device uses smart2go maps provided by TeleAtlas.
