TrafficGauge is an application for a PDA like device that provides real time traffic information for San Francisco Bay Area, Los Angeles, and Seattle.
The PDA has a 3 by 5 inch screen with rendering of the selected city’s freeways that can pinpoint traffic slowdowns and show current conditions updated every 4 minutes. The handheld device will set you back about $80 and you’ll have to get a subscription for an extra $5 to $7 each month.
The screen on the so called ‘PDA’ is fixed so buying the hardware thinking you can use it for other purposes is kinda foolish. TrafficGauge runs on 2 AA batteries which should last you a whole two months.
