blaupunkt TravelPilot DX-V
Aug 23, 2006 gps navigation

You won’t find this in North America but you can get it far far away, in Australia. Called the TravelPilot DX-V this satellite navigation system features a 6.5 inch TFT-LCD colour LCD in 16:9 format which can support a split screen format (map/ arrow) and including an automatic traffic congestion avoidance function via RDS/TMC.
Unlike most other GPS systems that solely rely on GPS signals, the Blaupunkt DX-V also utilizes vehicle speed wire so it still knows where it is even when traveling through a tunnel. It also uses a gyroscope, which gives the system a three dimensional image of the terrain.

I have a 2001 S-500. My nav system is broken as well as the original phone has been lost. Anyway to upgrade to a new nav system/blue tooth phone/radio system and still be able to have it integrated with the car’s fiber optic system so I can use steering wheel controls, the repeater on the dash and keep my dashboard clock current (since the nav system is broken my clock is really slow, makes me late for appointments).
