Following the success of Nav55E, german company BlauPunkt just released Nav56E hoping to get same kind of reaction from its customers. Officially named “TravelPilot Rome NAV56E” this radio navigation device is aimed at European markets. It comes with maps of ten European countries bundled on CD’s. Some of the other features include:
- hi-res TFT screen
- FM/MW/LW tuner
- zoom functionality
- fastest or shortest route
The NAV56E will cost you £550 which is about $1000. For the same price you can get a Garmin Nuvi 360. Just a thought.
Along the same lines of products you can also have a look at Cascade 7944 from Becker which is even more expensive.
