L-Vision 520 from Freenex for US only
Published on August 15th, 2006 in gps navigation
Yesterday we had a post about Freenex DMX-760 from Freenex with picture in picture capabilities. That was the Korean version of their navigation + DMB combo and is not likely to make it across the Atlantic. Meet L-Vision 520, the US version from the same production line. The features are somewhat similar but not as advanced as its Korean brother. The L-Vision 520 uses compact flash cards and can support upto 2GB of memory storage. It can provide voice guidance and render the map either in 2D, or 3D. The software on the L-Vision will let you navigate by address, nearby location, name, category, or intersection and you’ll be able customize the POI to you liking and save them onto memory.
You may wonder what the antenna is for since there’s no DMB in the US. Well the L-Vision 520 includes a TV encoder in both PAL and NTSC so you don’t feel left out of the DMB craze sweeping Asia.
