PNA Transonic 5000 from Navigon coming soon

Navigon is now letting you register on their website to get release the date for their newest PNA Transonic 5000. The Transonic 5000 combined with MobileNavigator5 is the ‘all-in-one’ navigation system the site says.
You’ll be able to use the Transonic 5000 straight out of the box since the continental USA map (Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico on DVD) is preinstalled on 1GB SD memory card. Feel free take the Transonic anywhere with you; car, bicycle, foot – it comes with mounting brackets and a rechargeable battery. If you choose you can subscribe to TMC service and get real time traffic data to avoid blocks and traffic jams.
Pricing is not known but when available this bundle will include the following:

- Transonic 5000
- PNA-specific cradles
- 110/230V AC adaptor for PNA
- PNA synchronization cable
- Car-charger for PNA
- External TMC cable antenna
- Standard PNA bicycle bracket
- 1 GB SD-Card

I have a Transonic PNA 5000 from navigon and I need to find a US map for it. The map I have is for europe, but recently relocated back to the US.

I have a Transonic GPS system, and it will not oick up a gps signal, what can I do, everything works except that. I tried reseting it, and it still wont pick up a sgnal.

I have a PNA 5000, quess what? The Map cost about 150.00. I bought one with a Germany Card. You have to get an activation code for the Map that you should have on a CD.

Guess what, do you have a map card installed? You will have to contract Navigon, wait weeks for an answer. Then you will have to buy a serial number for the map and that costs about 125.00 US. Its a great GPS, but I didn’t know about all the setup costs until I bought this one.

I’m seeking up-to-date USA maps (2008) for my Navigon/5, Transonic PNA 5000. Great device…no map support found for this model.

I have a Navigation PNA 5000 but my car charger is broken. Does anyone know where I can purchase a new one from? If so can you reply with the information to where? Thanks in advance for your help.
