starsnav-943.jpgJust recently we talked about the BTS-100 from StarsNav, which looks identical to the BTS110. The BTS100 was a radar and speed reminder with GPS to keep you from getting tickets. This looks like an ideal device for triptracking
Finally a decent GPS logger with SiRF III.

Now it’s time for Emtac Trine or DeLorme BlueLogger to update their chipsets.

Hi, I’m one of the sales people in StarsNav.
I need to clarify 3 things
    1. BTS-100 is not a radar detector. It uses built in POI (speed camera data base) to give voice reminders.
    2. BTS series are Nemerix 16 channel solution.
    3. We have a software that allows users to see tracks through Google earth/map.

  3. Tom Page Says:

Where can you get these from, and any idea of cost? I can’t find a single retailer of this on Google!

Whats the difference between Nemerix 16 channel and Sirf III device (20 sattelites tracking)? Is Nemerix 16ch. like SirfII? Moreover, I wonder if it can output altitude information. Incidentally, the operating time of 22 hours is impressive.

The number of channels represent how many satellites your device can track simultaneously. However keep in mind your device only needs 3 satellites to calculate its possition correctly.
