The Altina GBT708 is a small bluetooth gps receiver that will help you get rid of the messy wires in your car, RV, purse, etc. You’ll obviously need to have a bluetoth enabled PDA, laptop, or cell phone; and some sort of navigation software that can make sense of the NMEA0183 output it sends to your device. The receiver chipset is SiRF Star IIe; we know it is not the latest but it’ll allow you 9 hours of continuous usage while tracking 12 satellites at a time.
The Altina GPT708 measures 72mm x 55mm x 21mm and weighs 78g. No word on pricing or availability.
