Karputer ICEPAC2 features navigation system

The intelligently named company Karputer from the UK showcased their ICEPAC2 in-car PC navigation system at the British Motor Show. ICEPAC2 does not come with an integrated GPS navigation system by default but can be optionally added to your custom installation. They use the InfoMap Navigator4 which covers all of Europe and almost 2 million POI’s.

The ICEPAC2 can boot in two seconds (that’s almost as fast as turning on the ignition) thanks to the PlayNOW Bios so you can use the optical drive without waiting for Windows to boot. Once Windows XP boots you can use it to burn DVDs, CD’s or play any media files or you can use the wireless capabilities of ICEPAC2 to check email, surf the net, etc…

The ICEPAC2 may set you back £2,037 but think of it this way… You may never have to buy another gadget for your car.
