Daewoo Lucoms Solo M1 UMPC is out – but no integrated GPS
Jul 20, 2006 gps navigation, umpc

Yet another UMPC that doesn’t come with a built-in GPS chip. Lucoms, a spin-off company of Daewoo Corporation established in 2002, just entered the UMPC market with its Solo M1 model. Solo M1 probably has the most sleek design of all the other UMPCs out there but still lacks an integrated GPS chip just like the rest (well except the Avaratec AHI UMPC). The Solo M1 runs Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition -which seems to be a popular choice among UMPC manufacturers- on an Intel Celeron M ULV processor (900 MHz) with 512 MB of memory running at 400 MHz.
The Solo M1 has a huge 7 inch WVGA TFT touch panel screen powered with an Intel GMA 900 graphics card and comes with a 30GB hard disk. More pictures about the Solo M1.
