Portable Navigation – KPM 4300 from Pavion
Jul 17, 2006 gps navigation

We recently talked about the another gadget (KCN 9000) from Pavion. Today we’re looking at the KPM 4300. The KPM 4300 is a compact fully integrated portable navigation system with a 4.3” TFT Wide LCD which lets you enjoy multimedia functions such as games, animations, videos, MP3s, and an image viewer.
The software has an interesting twist: it features a virtual car account book to keep record of all your car maintenances and expenditures (somewhat similar to what Microsoft Streets and Trips has).
KPM 4300 runs on a 1400mA/h lithium battery with the processing power of a 32Bit RISC Processor (ARM9 core ATLAS 200MHz). Even though it lacks a touch screen, it makes up for it with its easy to use joystick button. If you manage to purchase this somehow, in the box you’ll find a remote control, SD memory card and reader (reader for your PC, device has a SD slot already), car cradle, power adapter, car charger, and an optional external GPS antenna.
