goFLYING is a UK based website that provides tools and information for pilots. One of the features of the site is the ability to view your flight track logs and route plans into Google Earth to see them in 3D. Users can also compare their flown tracks with other’s flight plans, and view other member’s shared logs.
To be able use this function member must provide the track log in a certain format:
If you’re able to export GPS track logs to your computer as text files using Garmin MapSource, G7ToWin, Jeppesen FliteStar, Ozi Explorer or GPSU, or as IGC, GPX or NMEA files using any suitable software, you can upload them to view the track overlaid on a map, plus graphs of your groundspeed and altitude.
You can view a bunch of public track logs here but of course you’ll need Google Earth installed on your computer.
