Route 66 navigation software now works with Windows Mobile

Route 66 is a Dutch (not American) company that writes navigation software which works on mobile devices. Their latest, called the Mobile 7 is a new version for Windows Mobile smartphones, such as the MDA Compact II. Route 66 previously only concentrated on Symbian and Pocket PC devices.
The software-only pricing is £69 for one country/region and £105 all European maps. If you don’t have a Bluetooth receiver, the full kit version is £209 or £279 depending on your mapping choice.

- Customize the on screen information, design and colors to suit your taste
- Maximum GPS signal strength is achieved using intelligent navigation in tunnels and urban areas
- The most up to date map data available is included (NAVTEQ Q1 2006)
- Avoid speeding tickets with the interactive speed warning system
- Full road and junction information is displayed on the screen
- Fully customize speeds on all road types to allow precise calculation of your arrival times

Does this do heavy truck (semi) routing in the US?

I found that garmin product is of high quality albeit the price is also a bit high but it’s worth paying.
