géoportail of France now online

The French website that makes satellite images of mainland France and it’s territories around the world available for everyone is up again! after an unsuccessful launch three weeks ago that left the geoportail.fr domain crippled due to a dozen million hits within a couple of days. Compared to Google Earth, géoportail’s resolution is not as good when it comes to big cities, but better for rural areas. So if you want to see some aerial shots of a vineyard near Bordeaux this is your chance.
