In more of the PND iCN530, the Navman company also presented two new models of PND SiRFStar III, the iCN 720 and iCN750, which has the characteristic to integrate a numerical camera of 1.3 Megapixels, allowing to have functions of geo tagging but also of a navigation assisted by possible GPS by… photo!
Parallel to the PND iCN530 which comes to supplement the range of the products iCN5xx of Navman, it is also a news of range of PND which was created and which names iCN7xx, with the iCN720 and iCN750, which has the characteristic to integrate a numerical camera of 1.3 Megapixels to add functionalities of geo tagging to them.
The PND iCN720 and iCN750 have of a chip GPS SiRFStar III, a possibility of using in option an adapter TMC compatible with the infos Premium traffics – in France (V-Traffic of Mediamobile), in England and Germany -, a touch screen of a size of 4 inches for a resolution WQVGA of 480×272 pixels, of a port for memory board SD/MMC, of an integrated numerical camera and finally of a standard RF (radio) which makes it possible to use a remote control on these apparatuses of pocket more without having “to aim” a given infra-red port.
With the level of their form Factor, just like the iCN530, new the iCN720 and iCN750 have two buttons making it possible to reach the station-gasoline nearest or the carpark nearest. About the differences between these two next PND, it should be noted that the iCN720 will be delivered with a numerical chart of an area on a memory board interns CompactFlash of 512MB while the iCN750 will be delivered with the numerical charts of 21 European countries (Western Europe) in its integrated hard disk of 4GB.
Lastly, put besides their functionalities of navigation GPS, the PND iCN720 and iCN750 of Navman integrate a viewer of images as well as a program making it possible to take numerical photographs via their integrated numerical camera of 1.3 Megapixels. To be done, the iCN720 and iCN750 will not be satisfied to take photographs simply but will make it possible to add on those of the geo tags, making it possible to know from where they were taken via their co-ordinates GPS.
With this occasion, these PND will use the new system baptized NavPix de Navman which makes it possible to post, to take in photograph and of uploader on a Web site dedicated of the company these same images which could then be shared with other users, the whole with a possibility of simply consulting them by the Web but also of keeping with the screen the place from where they were taken. It should be noted that it will be possible to transmit on the Web a traditional image to add an associated address manually to him, making it possible to transform it into an image geolocalized compatible with the iCN700 of Navman.

I’ve replaced my Navman ICN630 with the ICN750. I’ve noticed 2 negative differences right off the bat. The ICN750 has a wider 4″ screen but the heighth of the screen had deminished about 1/3. Harder to use while driving than the ICN630. The biggest negative is the Favorites list is in Last Used – First in the list order. I have over 100 clients and having to search thru the Favorites list is impossible while driving. The ICN630 Forvorites list is in sequential order.
The ICN750 has great vocal directions including EXIT numbers …. hurrahhhhh. It does not announce the street name at turns but they are listed at the top of the screen.
In newly developed building areas, the maps are not as up to date as I expected them to be.
Overall, I prefer my ICN630 only because the Favorites list is not very useful to me and is probably the most used tool.
The optional remote control should be standard because the screen shows finger prints when the light hits the screen just right.
Overall, I am still a Navman fan.
