Samsung SCH-W399 Talking GPS Phone

Having a cell phone with GPS is certainly not new, but one that talks to you while you drive and tells you the shortest route to reach the destination certainly is. The SCH W399 from Samsung is probably the first one in the market that claims to do so. The W399 is a GSM triband / CDMA1x terminal. The clamshell display has a touch display which can be written on with a finger. It has an integrated swivel camera with rotates 180 degrees. The W399 has 57 MB of onboard memory, however Samsung has not added an Expansion slot which limits the phone’s memory. The large display of the phone is 2.2 inches in size and can support 260,000 colors with a resolution of 176 x 220 pixels it has a 16 color external OLED display.

The dimensions of this baby are 93 x 50 x 22 mm and it weighs only 90 grams. At an expected price of 600 USD, the W399 seems to be an excellent buy… via
