Italians did another great review, this time with Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket Loox N520. You better know the url to babelfish if you can’t read Italian…
GPS Receiver
Section GPS, as all last Pocket PC equips you of integrated receiver, is based on chipset the SiRFStarIII, currently performante on the market. The Pocket Loox N520, however, with the exception of many other devices similar you, is the first one to integrate antenna GPS to the inside of the auto body. Until to its arrival, because of the strong interferences generated from the slot, display and the others the members, all the producers had preferred to externally integrate the antenna to the auto body. This choice, beyond containing the costs, has simplified integration of the antenna is to progettuale level that economic, poichè did not demand the isolation of the member.
In the realization of the Pocket Loox N520, therefore, HTC (that he has realized for Fujitsu-Siemens the device) has proccupata itself to isolate all the relative members you to module GPS, an operation that unavoidablly door to the reduction of the dimensions of the antenna and that does not allow the absolute elimination of the interferences. We are not absolutely saying that the integrated receiver is not in a position to catching up the performances of a whichever receiver GPS SiRFStarIII, but at the moment he turns out you raggiungibili with integration in the auto body are leggermente inferior regarding integration to the outside. Moreover, regarding the Qtek G100 (anch’ it realized from HTC and anch’ equipped it of antenna GPS SiRFStarIII integrated in auto body), the caught up risulati ones are clearly advanced.
