The software is from a company called Navigon based in Germany. It is a Java program that can run on your Smartphone, Pocket PC or PDAPhone with a Windows Mobile OS, or on a Smartphone Symbian S60. The live pics are from here.
The new version of the software of navigation assisted by GPS Navigon MobileNavigator|6 will be multiplateforme, usable via solutions one-board on of Smartphone, Pocket PC and PDAPhone under Windows Mobile, on of Smartphone Symbian S60 but also, and it is an innovation, via a solution off-board (charts to be downloaded by Internet) on Java mobiles.
Navigon MobileNavigator|6 for Java mobiles is a software of navigation assisted by GPS of the off-board type, which means that the numerical charts Navteq associated with the programs are downloadable since the mobile in mode OTA (Over The Air : via a connector industry GSM, GPRS, EDGE or UMTS).
This Java version of the program takes again the same functionalities as the versions Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile, with the detail close which they are all the same purified, to be compatible with mobile telephones which are not more powerful.
There will remain however possible to have an interface of navigation in very fast 2d associated a graphic interface the most been successful of, leaving the possibility of having traditional functions during the phase of control like posting maximum speeds not to exceed on certain roads or the use of Assisting the Lane function, making it possible to know which way precisely to follow.
