Adding music functionality to sat nav isn’t new – Blaupunkt’s Lucca for one made a stylish debut towards the end of last year. However, unlike that particular model, the Omisys GPS is aimed squarely at the budget market.

Easy to install and use and with a battery life of 4 hours per charge, the Omisys GPS with 3.6″ colour TFT screen offers both the shortest and the quickest directions both on-screen and audibly using Navteq navigation software, with all instructions entered via the touch screen. It’s perhaps not the best-looking or most feature-packed unit on the market, but for around £340, it’s certainly a competitor if you’re looking for a cheaper unit. via
