nike+ GPS

Nike recently announced their new app that utilizes the GPS sensor and the accelerometer inside your iPhone or iPod Touch.

With this you won’t need the extra adapter that fits in your shoes no more. The app costs $2 and is probably worth it since it can overlay your running course on Google Maps.

Other features include the ability to play music while you’re running (obviously), voice feedback for coaching, upload to nikeplus.com, and even the ability to work indoors relying on the accelerometer (and if you’re on an iPod touch you won’t get the map overlay of course)

I used this app for the first time this morning I have to say it performed very well, the recorded route and distance was very accurate, and the fact that it keeps a history of all your runs and fastest mile longest run etc makes this app really enjoyable and actually motivates me to beat my previous times, great app
