GSmart S1200 from Gigabyte is yet another smartphone that came out of MWC. Just like all the others GSmart S1200 also boasts a large touch screen interface (3.1″; 480×800 pixels) and location based services.

GSmart MS808 and MS802

GSmart showcased two brand new phones at Computex in Taiwan yesterday. Seen on the right, MS808 features GPS, digital TV receiver, 2.8″ screen, and runs on a 624Mhz Marwell processor.

GSmart MW700 video

GSmart MW700 is a pretty recent addition to GPS enabled Windows Mobile phones. This ones integrates a SiRF Star III GPS receiver chip. The bottom right button is actually a dedicated key for activating the satellite navigation but GSmart MW700 does not seem to have a pre-installed navigation software. Here is an unboxing video:

worlds first 3.5G GPS/AGPS modem

Taiwan’s Gigabyte is claiming they have the world’s first 3.5G GPS/AGPS wireless modem which they are displaying at CeBIT, Germany.

Called MD800, this card is the successor to the one in Gsmart MS820 GPS PDA phone which features a motion sensor and the company’s own GUI. The data card offers a choice of three interfaces, Express card, mini USB, and PCMCIA in addition to its 3.5G networks capability and also support for GPS and A-GPS.

At CeBIT again, the company will be introducing the MS808 PDA phone which is claimed to be the world’s first 3.5G mobile phone supporting four different mobile TV standards, DVB-T, DVB-H, T-DMB, and ISDB-T as well as GPS too… Read More …

GIGA-BYTE Communications today announced GSmart i350 in Italy. GSmart i350 has a 2.6″ touchscreen, miniSD card slot and a 2MP digital camera.

This sleek phone supports quad band GSM/GPRS networks, offers WiFi, bluetooth, and runs on a Marvell PXA270 CPU. Not finished here though, GSmart i350 also has embedded SiRF Star III GPS chip.

Powered by SiRF Star III chipset, GPS Navigation helps users get to destinations with optimized route. Gigabyte GSmart q60

Giga-Byte of Taiwan introduced the new G-Smart q60 during 3GSM World Congress. The G-Smart q60 is a UMTS/HSDPA Windows Mobile 6 Smartphone.

unwired magazine says with its single band UMTS/HSDPA and triband GSM/GPRS/EDGE and a thumb keyboard, the GSmart q60 is targeting the business professional. Of course there is an integrated GPS receiver but we have no info what kind of chip it uses yet.

Here are some of the other features:

• XScale CPU at 520 MHz
• Bluetooth 2.0
• WiFi b/g
• support for digital TV as well as digital DAB radio
• 2.1 MP camera
• VGA camera for video telephony over UMTS
