Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro Z250

We’ve talked about Ferrari GPS stuff on Navigadget before – mostly from German brand Becker. Their latest GPS navigation system designed after the Ferrari brand is called Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro Z250.

This portable GPS, conceived in collaboration with the Italian brand, has an ergonomic design with special materials such as the “Soft-Touch”. It has a user interface personalized for Ferrari; also in addition to the traditional POIs like the hotels, restaurants, museums, service stations and other places which marked on your route, this GPS also integrates, the Ferrari dealers in all of Europe and the United States.

The rest of the specs are quite ordinary. Take for example the wide 4.3″ screen, processing running at 400 MHz, 128MB of memory, Premium RDS/TMC Traffic information and a Bluetooth kit for hands free phone calls.

Like the previous Becker models, Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro Z250 also integrates a GPS SiRF III chip with SiRF InstantFixII function which allows for the prediction of satellite locations and thus, a faster calculation of position.

New for Becker, this GPS navigation system is delivered with maps of 40 European countries as well as United States, all of which fits onto a 4GB SD card.

Like Becker Z201, Z250 Ferrari will utilize the iGO 8 navigation software from Nav N Go which supports split screen view, lane assistance, 3D monuments, 3D highway intersections, and realistic road signs.

The Bose Media System we featured earlier this year was fitted on a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti at a motor show in Tokyo recently.

Both Ferrari 612 and the Bose Media System are great engineering marvels. We don’t know much about the car here at Navigadget but here are the specs and features for the Bose Media system:

Acer Ferrari Racing PocketPC with GPS

Acer finally has made more information available about the Ferrari Racing handheld GPS device.

Ferrari Racing series come with navigation capabilities integrating SiRF Star III GPS receiver and the ALK CoPilot navigation software that comes with special point of interests for your Ferrari, as well as safety camera warnings. Maps are provided by NAVTEQ.

In addition this device is a fully featured PocketPC with a 2.8″ touch screen which includes a Windows Mobile Office suite, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connection which would even enable you to make phone calls when used with Skype. Did we mention upto 8 hours battery life?

The device comes with a 1 or 2 GB SD card, a unique Ferrari car cradle and car charger, and European maps on DVD. Feel free to fill up your card with maps of countries of interest to you… via

Becker prepares Traffic Assist 7927

It’s been almost a year since the German GPS navigation system maker introduced a new device – which was the Ferrari Traffic Assist Pro back at IFA 2006.

According to our French sources Becker is preparing a brand new device called Traffic Assist 7927 which will be released at IFA 2007. It will have a standard screen size at 3.5″ and carry a SiRF Star III GPS receiver chip as well as RDS/TMC receiver for live traffic information.

On the other hand, we have no information on which software they’ll use but most likely will continue with Navigon MobileNavigator, as they did on previous models.

Ferrari GPS navigator from Acer

Acer showcased a new PDA based, Ferrari design navigator this week at the 2007 Computex in Taipei. The device features a 2.8″ QVGA display and a powerful speaker for voice directions. The Ferrari navigator uses ALK CoPilot v6.0 premium navigation software that lets you set your very own voice sets on the fly and is able to utilize real time traffic information which can be overlayed onto maps from Navteq.

Like everyone else Acer also went with the sensitive SiRF Star III GPS receiver and threw in some media playing capabilities that lets you listen to your tunes and check out your pictures. For memory expansion the Ferrari themed navigation system provides an SD/MMC slot and for connectivity you’ll find the Bluetooth and 802.11b/g antennas very handy… via

This new Ferrari red navigation system is capable of keeping a list of speed radars which will be available on the SCDB database. It also can receive TMC information.

The new system will be available semi November for 700 Euros.

If you thought the electronics show IFA in Germany is over you are wrong. Korean manufacturer Dotel today unveiled their latest car navigation system DOTN400. DOTN400 comes in a fire-engine-red color which may go really well with your Ferrari F430 if you dont like Becker is offering.
